1980's
REBELS ESTABLISHED
The Buderim Rebels Hockey Club was formed in 1986 a when a group of “rebels” from the Kawana Hockey Club left to form the Readymix Rebels women’s team that entered the Sunshine Coast Hockey Association competition in 1987. These women are the legends of our club and warmly referred to as the "Original Eleven." The first few years were about building a team - and then a club.

Our Division One men have won five consecutive premiership titles (as well as four minor premierships and five presidents cups). The men also set a national record by remaining undefeated for 52 games (a period that stretched from June 2010 to March 2013). In January 2014, the Buderim Rebels Division One men's team was named the Team of the Year by the Sunshine Coast Sports Federation. To date, our club has won 15 premiership titles in this four-year period.
